No, and you cannot. Your documents stay where they already live: a connected drive such as SharePoint, Google Drive, OneDrive or Nextcloud, or a file on your own machine that your AI assistant reads in place. Encircle records what was read and what it concluded, never the document itself.

No. Encircle reads the evidence you have loaded and scores it against each framework's requirements. It issues no opinion, no certificate and no assurance, and it does not verify that a document is genuine. What it produces is the evidence pack and the gap list an auditor would otherwise spend weeks assembling, which is why audit firms are the ones bringing it to their clients. Because it reads every document in the connected folder, it usually surfaces things nobody had got to. Your statutory audit, assurance and reporting obligations are unchanged.
Most of it will not have been, and that is the normal case. A board charter, a risk register or a delegation of authority is a document you hold. Nobody certifies those. Encircle scores what you load and records who loaded it and when, so the provenance travels with the answer, and where a document has been audited or independently reviewed that shows on the record. Waiting for independent verification before you could see your own position would mean never seeing it.
